Joia Jefferson Nuri is a certified Executive Leadership and Public Speaking Coach, having coached more than 50 C-Suite executives in government, industry, and philanthropy. In addition, she has written congressional and city council testimony and coached leaders before hearings. Joia has written, coached and placed 17 TEDx Talks, including her own. She was a delegate representing the United States at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, Austria. She delivered the keynote address before the 53-nation meeting a year later. Joia has served on the leadership teams at NBC, CBS, PBS, NPR, and C-SPAN as a writer, senior producer and talk show host. After forming In The Public Eye Communications in 2001, Harry Belafonte and Danny Glover became her earliest clients. She spent a decade creating communications strategies for their human rights work and traveled throughout the US, Europe, South America and Africa on their behalf.
